Marie Cocault is a PhD candidate at LabSIC, supervised by Claire Blandin and co-supervised by Alexie Geers. Her thesis examines the Salon des arts ménagers, television, and their joint construction of a « domestic modernity » during the second half of the twentieth century.
The aim of this research is to offer a media history of the Salon des arts ménagers, situating it at the heart of the parallel transformations in broadcasting, the cultural industries, organizational communication, scientific and technical innovation, and consumption.
