Ambre Rabin is a PhD student at LabSIC, supervised by Alix Bénistant, Christine Chevret-Castellani, and Jacob Matthews. Her research focuses on the power relations and tensions that structure content production and circulation on YouTube, in the context of platformization and algorithmic governmentality.
The thesis analyzes the technical and economic logics of visibility imposed by the platform, the adaptation or resistance tactics of content creators in the face of algorithms, as well as the impact and implementation of new public regulation standards (such as the Digital Services Act) aimed at algorithmic transparency.
